wardrive

Well had a wardrove around hereford and found a pitiful 800 or so networks
Although didnt really do the whole of hereford just a bit of tupsley  & eign hill and ledbury road.

I picked up over 1000 just driving to work will see if i can do something with my anttena as this will help....

  1. Hey. Its good to see someone else from herefordshire interested in Computer security and war-driving. I also find it all very interesting and recorded all the WIFI AP's at Leominster, Whitney, Hay-on-Wye and Kington.

  2. Ive done leominster I have wigle on my phone .... which picks up really well... I also have a 24dbgain antenna i hook up to my netbook...

    1. Thats cool. Me and one of my friends did it with a large antenna in the back of the car. connected to a laptop. I still have all the capture files and things on my PC. We wrote a small post about it http://jamesdotcom.com/?p=191

    2. Cool have loads of logs etc its been a while since i did a proper wardrive mostof the time i use wigle on the phone the advantage is that the phone can tell if routers are exploitable via reaver...


      Funnily BT homehub3 routers are only susceptible to reaver untill they get a firmware update...

      I have 9TB of passwords which i use for WPA......
      Ialso have a nice Graphic card to crunch numbers as well...

      look into cracking SHA1 and MD5 salted.... having a lot of fun playing with these encryption
